Vitable Health was founded to solve a specific and persistent problem: too many working Americans earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but too little to afford traditional insurance. They are part of the 85 million uninsured or underinsured Americans who often defer care until it’s too late, leading to higher costs, poorer outcomes, and widening disparities.

In some communities, a difference of just five miles between zip codes can mean a 20-year gap in life expectancy, a stark measure of the cost of inaccessibility.

We chose the name Vitable (Vital + Affordable) to reflect our commitment to changing that equation: delivering primary care that’s accessible, affordable, and actually used. Our primary-care-first model makes it simple for employers to offer high-quality care and seamless for employees to use it, because when care is accessible from day one, prevention replaces crisis, and health outcomes improve.‍
